Planning Project

Purpose

The District of Squamish (DOS) is seeking qualified and experienced firms or individuals to complete planning bylaws and policies related to the Squamish Oceanfront Development. The DOS currently owns a large portion of the Squamish oceanfront peninsula on the Howe Sound, adjacent to the downtown. A conditional purchase and sale agreement with the chosen developer is to be completed in July 2014. The conditions include but are not limited to completion of updated DCC bylaw, Phased Development Agreement and are scheduled to be completed in draft form for presentation to Council in February 2015, and adopted by March 2015.

The development of the Oceanfront Peninsula is an exciting and important opportunity to our community.
