Thank you to all 1125 people, including 5 mayors, who attended the January 22nd UDI Forecast Lunch.
This year Brian McCauley of Concert Properties moderated the discussion with industry leaders Neil Chrystal of Polygon Homes, Kevin Layden of Wesbild Holdings and David Negrin of Aquilini Development. The informative presentations and Q&A gave the audience insight into the changing retail market, housing sales and immigration trends, the office construction boom, and the importance of working with First Nations groups.
The audience had the opportunity to weigh in on polls throughout the course of the lunch. The room was moderately optimistic about both the Canucks and the Transit Plebiscite.
Congratulations to this year's UDI Forecast Contest Winner Diane Delves. Diane, President and CEO of Quantum Properties and Chair of the UDI Fraser Valley Group, most accurately predicted real estate statistics for the 2014 year. 4th place went to Peter Tolensky of Lawson Lundell, 3rd Place to David Eger of Altus Group, and 2nd place to Chuck We of Oxford Properties.
Thanks to the Hyatt for their hospitality as always, and a big thank you to all of the generous Forecast Lunch Sponsors for making this event possible:
